For Dena Edwards Wadden, nurse practitioner (NP) and lifelong resident of Cape Breton, it was a natural transition from volunteering in high school at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) to graduating in 2011 from Cape Breton University’s (CBU) nursing program. After a few years working in the CBRH emergency department, Wadden obtained her master’s degree as a NP in 2016.
Nova Scotia Health is hosting two public information sessions to update the community on the emergency department and other programs and services at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 4.
